If there isn't a software program available to do a certain task, get someone to write it - this is not as expensive as you might think. I recently hired a programmer to write a simple script to automate part of my credit card processing routine. It was a custom script and the cost was just $45.00! Check out sites such as like www.elance.com and www.scriptlance.com if you need help finding a programmer.
The more of your tasks that are dealt with automatically, the more time you will have.
And what should you be doing with that time?
Well, its up to you, but my advice is spend it developing new products and websites - it is much better to have 5 websites bringing in $500 a month each, than one site bringing in $2500. With more sites, your risk is spread so if for any reason sales dry up on one site, it is not the end of the world (however, if that is your only site, it may well be!)
How many other industries allow you to build a business and then leave 70% or even 90% of that business running on 'autopilot'?
I know what I am talking about - my online businesses bring in over six figures a year, yet I can deal with the maintenance of all of my sites in less than an hour a day and this is simply because most tasks are automated. The only time I need to 'get involved' in a transaction is if something goes wrong - and hey, it's a computer so this does happen from time to time :-)
Now, despite the above, I actually work anything from 10 - 15 hours a day, most days and 90% of that time is spent developing new products and websites.
Let me share a simple formula for online success with you:
Develop product
Develop website
Automate as much as possible
Market website/product
Maintain website and go back to step 1 and repeat
It takes time and it is hard work, but the rewards are excellent. The Internet is probably the only chance you will have to run multiple businesses at once and still be able to take huge chunks of time 'off' whenever you want.
Don't fall into the trap of starting to do the day to day tasks manually - you might be able to handle the workload with 100 visitors to your website each day, but when the hits start rising you will have problems. It is much easier to automate everything from the start than to try and implement systems on a website that is up and running (and generating several hours of work each day).
And of course, there is nothing like waking up in the morning to find that your website has generated sales while you were sleeping - this is a reality and happens everyday to millions of online entrepreneurs around the world - why not you?

I’ve heard it said, and even seen it written, that blogging is better than SEO for getting traffic. Are blogging traffic or SEO traffic generation techniques better for you, or does it not really matter?
Actually, a lot depends on you and which you like best: blogs or traditional websites, and also what you want the traffic for. I also wonder why the distinction is being made, since anybody serious about internet marketing and getting plenty of traffic, will use both. There is really no need to choose one or the other. However, when I hear such arguments I get the feeling that it is more academic than which provides the more traffic. Feelings, however can be wrong, so it is worth discussion.
When you think about it, the type of traffic you get from a blog could very well have different needs and interests to those that reached your site after carrying a search on Google or Yahoo using specific keywords. OK, you can get to blogs from search engines also, and through the use of keywords, but if you are looking to buy something you wouldn’t normally log onto a blog, would you?
Let’s say you wanted the best price for a gross of Titleist golf balls, you wouldn’t visit a blog site. Similarly if wanted to discuss their benefits, you would go to a blog or a forum. Sometimes it gets difficult to tell the difference these days, since blogs are becoming increasingly more interactive, but you get my general drift. I hope!
With a blog you can advertise whatever you want to, and the same is true of a website. However, you are more likely to make a direct purchase from a website, and to seek information from a blog. Hence, the traffic you get on a blog are information seekers and those on your website may also be looking for info, but might also be wanting to make a purchase. So right away we can kind of separate blog readers from website visitors.
It’s not a well defined separation, but bloggers tend not to be looking for something different to what a search engine user is looking for. If you have a blog on your website, your blog page will be likely to attract prospects that will tend to be more regular visitors than those that are checking out your website. If the latter don’t respond to your opt-in form, you will be unlikely to see them again, but a visitor to your blog page might return frequently.
However, to return to the question: what is better, blog traffic or SEO traffic, as long as each is free it doesn’t really matter I would have thought. I suppose that it could be argued that the SEO traffic is more focussed because they have used your specific keywords to get to the page they landed on ,and blog traffic could come from ezines and other sources that are perhaps not specific to any product you are selling. Me, I would accept any traffic no matter where it came from, and quite frankly once the traffic gets to your webpage it is up to you to convert it to sales.
The difference between the two is that if you don’t make an immediate impact with the SEO visitors, you could be struggling to keep them returning to your website, but you are likely to have more time with the bloggers, since they tend to keep coming back to the blog. The SEO visitors might register with your opt-in page, but that only allows you to keep in contact with them, and you still have to try to induce them to return to your website.
On the other hand, the blog readers need no such inducement, since they visit your site each time you publish a new posting. That is assuming that your blog is on your own website, and not on the blog server as many (perhaps most) are.
Perhaps I am completely on the wrong track, but I will keep tabs on it and report on my website what my findings are regarding blog traffic and SEO traffic, and whether or not one tends to buy more that the other. It is useful to know, since for a website that is designed to sell products it can determine whether or not it is worth having a blog on your site or keep trying to improve your SEO.
That is a big decision to make, and if it could make the difference between success and failure then it should be determines mathematically and scientifically rather than by conjecture and opinion. It is scientific testing that frequently makes the difference between those that are successful in internet marketing and those that fail.

Maintaining A Healthy Relationship
I have been with my girlfriend for the last six years and our relationship is never boring. A few times a week I give my girlfriend flowers. Usually I buy a bouquet of roses. They always tell me that they wished their boyfriend's would do it to them. They all tell me that when they started dating, their boyfriend's would always open doors and give flowers. But, as the relationship grew their boyfriends at first occasionally forgot and then just stopped unless it was a special occasion like a birthday. A few of them are jealous.
The interesting thing is that a few of my male friends tell me that you must treat a woman with a little aloofness. You must show her you are in control. Don't let her think you are too soft or she will take advantage of you. Well, I think these are all mistaken ideas. Most of my friends who always tell me they know better are not married. They are always with a new girl every time I meet them. I have a friend who in the past six years has been married twice and had five live in girlfriends. They always leave him. Why? He thinks that being selfish will keep the girls with him. Hopefully, after I show him this short report he will learn not to be so selfish. If he is smart he will at least come to understand that he is doing something wrong.
I love to buy little gifts once or twice a week for my girlfriend. They are not expensive gifts. I always find just some little things that she likes. Most are just cost a few dollars. But, by the way she smiles, she looks like she is getting a diamond.
I will try to surprise her with a night out at least once a week. We leave the kids with the grandparents and we will go to dinner then maybe a movie or to a concert and sometimes we go bowling or to the local Borders Book Store. Every now and then I surprise her by taking her for a weekend to the country. We will just start driving without a destination in mind, and when we feel like it we will find a hotel and spend a weekend there. It is fun and always different.

In response to Google's announcement that their soon-to-be-launched "Gmail" service will offer users 1 gigabyte of email storage, Yahoo! announced an upgrade of their free email service to allow users 100MB of free email storage along with other enhancements.
Microsoft's Hotmail will surely also announce a free upgrade in email storage space.
On the surface it might just appear like a simple case of one-upmanship, but it actually represents major forces digging in online and preparing to do battle.
It appears Yahoo! simply wanted to take the issue of email storage space off the table as a consideration for users as to which email service to choose.
Google enjoyed considerable media and public attention over the past few weeks with the media marveling at how Google intended to give hundreds of megabytes more space to its users than Yahoo! or Hotmail.
With this move, Yahoo! made storage a "non-issue," but the real war has only just begun.
Email ranks as the number one most popular online activity according to virtually any survey you care to read.
When people go online, they spend the single biggest chunk of their time sending, receiving, and reading email.
Online email providers understand that eyeballs on a page looking at advertising and responding to offers is what makes them money.
